AutoSlip - Sales Demo Script

Product: AutoSlip (WhatsApp Receipt Automation) Demo Format: WhatsApp Interactive Demo (10-15 minutes) Target Audience: Construction, Restaurants, Retail, SMEs, Freelancers Version: 1.0 Last Updated: January 2025


Duration: 10-15 minutes Format: WhatsApp conversation + optional screen share (to show Excel report) Goal: Convert interested lead → Trial signup Success Rate Target: 60%+ (demo → trial conversion)

Key Differentiator: AutoSlip’s demo IS the product - you literally show them WhatsApp receipt processing in real-time. No slides, no mock-ups - actual working demo using their own receipts.

Demo Flow:

  1. Opening & Discovery (2 min) - Understand their receipt pain points
  2. Live WhatsApp Demo (5 min) - They send receipt, see instant processing
  3. Excel Report Walkthrough (3 min) - Show organized output
  4. Pricing Discussion (2 min) - Match tier to their volume
  5. Trial Close (2 min) - Activate trial immediately

Technical Setup (Do This Before Every Demo)

30 Minutes Before Demo:

  • AutoSlip WhatsApp number is active and responsive
  • Test with sample receipt (ensure 1-2 second processing time)
  • Have demo Excel report ready (recent 7-day report with real data)
  • Have backup receipts ready (if prospect doesn’t have one handy)
  • Screen share tool ready (Zoom, Teams, or WhatsApp video call)

Materials to Have Ready:

  • Pricing sheet (R150/R250/R400 tiers printed or in separate window)
  • Trial activation form/link
  • Sample Excel reports from each industry (construction, restaurant, retail)
  • Your own business card (to WhatsApp them after demo)

Prospect Research (5 Minutes Before Demo):

  • Review their industry (construction, restaurant, retail, SME?)
  • Estimate their receipt volume (10/month? 100/month? 500/month?)
  • Check if they mentioned specific pain points in email (use these in discovery)
  • Check if they have WhatsApp (99% do, but confirm)

💬 PART 1: OPENING & DISCOVERY (2 Minutes)

Script (Phone Call or WhatsApp Voice Note):

“Hi [NAME], great to connect! I’m [YOUR NAME] from iSu Technologies. Thanks for making time for this demo.

Quick agenda for the next 10-15 minutes:

  1. I’ll ask you 2-3 quick questions about how you currently handle receipts
  2. You’ll send me a photo of any receipt via WhatsApp
  3. You’ll see AutoSlip process it in 1-2 seconds
  4. I’ll show you the Excel report you’d receive
  5. We’ll discuss pricing and I can activate a trial for you today if you’d like

Sound good? Let’s start with a couple of questions…”


Ask these 3-4 questions to understand their pain:

Question 1: Current Receipt Handling

“How do you currently handle receipts in [COMPANY]? Do you have a specific system, or is it more ad-hoc?”

Listen for:

  • “We stuff them in a drawer” (manual chaos)
  • “We use Excel” (manual data entry pain)
  • “We use [app name]” (competitor opportunity)
  • “My accountant deals with it” (outsourcing cost)

Question 2: Receipt Volume

“Roughly how many receipts or invoices do you deal with per month? 10? 50? 100? More?”

Listen for:

  • Low volume (10-50/month) → Starter tier (R150/month)
  • Medium volume (50-200/month) → Professional tier (R250/month)
  • High volume (200+/month) → Business tier (R400/month)

Question 3: Pain Point (Most Important)

“What’s the most annoying part of dealing with receipts right now?”

Listen for:

  • “Lost receipts” → Emphasize instant WhatsApp backup
  • “Data entry takes hours” → Emphasize 98% AI accuracy
  • “Accountant charges R2,000/month” → Emphasize cost savings
  • “Can’t track spending by category” → Emphasize auto-categorization
  • “Month-end is chaos” → Emphasize weekly Excel reports

Question 4: Decision Timeline

“If AutoSlip solves your receipt problem, when would you want to start using it? Immediately? Next month? End of quarter?”

Listen for:

  • “Immediately” → High urgency, fast close
  • “Next month” → Moderate urgency, trial needed
  • “Not sure” → Low urgency, education needed

Script:

“Perfect, thanks for that context. Now let me show you exactly how AutoSlip works. Do you have a receipt handy? Could be from today, this week, last month - anything. If not, I can use one of mine for the demo.”

If they have a receipt: ✅ PERFECT - demo with their real receipt (most powerful)

If they don’t have a receipt: ✅ Use your backup receipt and screen share it to them via WhatsApp


📱 PART 2: LIVE WHATSAPP DEMO (5 Minutes)

Script:

“Great! I’m going to send you our AutoSlip WhatsApp number via text/WhatsApp. Save it as ‘AutoSlip Demo’ in your contacts.”

Action:

  • Send AutoSlip WhatsApp number: +27 [YOUR AUTOSLIP NUMBER]
  • Wait for confirmation they received it

Script:

“Now, open WhatsApp and start a chat with that number. Take a photo of your receipt and send it - just like you’d send a photo to a friend. Don’t worry about angle, lighting, or quality - our AI handles that.”

Coaching (if they hesitate):

  • “It’s literally just WhatsApp a photo - that’s it. No app to download, no login, no forms.”
  • “Go ahead, I’ll wait. I’ll see the receipt on my end and we’ll watch it process together.”

What happens (from prospect’s perspective):

  1. They WhatsApp receipt photo
  2. 1-2 seconds later → AutoSlip replies: ”✅ Receipt processed! Vendor: [NAME], Amount: R[X], Date: [DATE], Category: [CATEGORY]”
  3. They see confirmation in WhatsApp

Your Script (as they’re watching their phone):

“See that? 1-2 seconds - that’s our Google AI reading your receipt. It extracted:

  • Vendor name: [X]
  • Amount: R[X]
  • Date: [X]
  • Category: [X] (our AI auto-categorizes - food, fuel, equipment, etc.)

That data is now logged in your account. You’ll never lose that receipt - even if the paper gets destroyed.”


Step 4: Show Multiple Receipt Types (If Time Allows)

“Can I show you something cool? Send me 2 more receipts - different types if you have them. Maybe a till slip, a handwritten invoice, something crumpled or faded.”

Why this matters:

  • Demonstrates versatility (works with any receipt type)
  • Demonstrates consistency (98% accuracy across types)
  • Builds confidence (not a one-time fluke)

Highlight as they send:

  • “See - till slip works”
  • “Handwritten invoice - no problem”
  • “Even that faded receipt - AI still reads it”

Step 5: Show Rejected/Unclear Receipt (Optional)

If you have a BAD receipt example (blurry, torn, completely illegible):

Script:

“Let me show you what happens if a receipt is too damaged. [WhatsApp unreadable receipt]. See - AutoSlip says ‘Unable to read receipt. Please re-photograph.’ It won’t guess - if it can’t read with 95%+ confidence, it asks you to retake the photo. That’s how we maintain 98% accuracy.”

Why this matters:

  • Builds trust (system is honest, doesn’t hallucinate data)
  • Manages expectations (not 100% magic, but 98% is damn good)

📊 PART 3: EXCEL REPORT WALKTHROUGH (3 Minutes)

“Great - so you’ve seen the WhatsApp side. Now let me show you the Excel report you’d receive. Can you see my screen if I share it via WhatsApp video call? Or I can screenshot and send it to you.”

Action:

  • Share screen (preferred) or send screenshot of Excel report
  • Use a REAL report (not a mockup) - show actual data

Show them the Excel spreadsheet and highlight:

Column 1: Date

“First column - date. Sorted chronologically, newest to oldest. Easy to see what you spent when.”

Column 2: Vendor/Supplier

“Vendor name - extracted from receipt. You can see exactly who you bought from.”

Column 3: Amount

“Amount in ZAR. Our AI reads currency symbols, decimal points, even handwritten amounts.”

Column 4: Category

“This is powerful - AutoSlip auto-categorizes:

  • Food & Beverages (restaurants, groceries)
  • Fuel (petrol, diesel)
  • Equipment (tools, machinery)
  • Supplies (stationery, cleaning)
  • Utilities (electricity, water)
  • Professional Services (accountants, consultants)
  • Other

Bottom: Summary Totals

“Bottom of the sheet - total spending by category. Quick snapshot: ‘We spent R12,000 on food, R3,000 on fuel this month.’”


Script:

“You receive this Excel report via email:

  • Weekly (default - every Monday morning)
  • Monthly (1st of each month)
  • On-demand (WhatsApp us ‘REPORT’ anytime, get instant report)

Which would you prefer?”

Listen for their preference (most choose weekly)


FOR CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES:

“See how this helps you? Site managers WhatsApp receipts as they spend. You get weekly report showing total site expenses by project/location. Month-end reconciliation takes 10 minutes, not 3 hours.”

FOR RESTAURANTS:

“Your suppliers deliver, you photo the invoice, WhatsApp it. End of week, you know exactly what you spent on meat vs vegetables vs beverages. Your accountant gets clean Excel report - no more shoebox of receipts.”

FOR RETAIL STORES:

“You buy stock from wholesaler, WhatsApp the receipt. You buy cleaning supplies, WhatsApp the receipt. Weekly report shows total spending by category. You can see ‘We spent R20,000 on stock, R2,000 on supplies’ instantly.”


💰 PART 4: PRICING DISCUSSION (2 Minutes)

  • Best for: Growing businesses, restaurants, small construction companies

Business - R400/month:

  • Unlimited receipts
  • Daily + weekly + monthly reports
  • Phone support
  • Custom categories + integrations
  • Best for: Multiple locations, high-volume businesses, construction companies with multiple sites

Based on what you told me - [X receipts per month] - I’d recommend [TIER].”


Pick the ROI story that matches their pain point:

If they mentioned “accountant charges R2,000/month”:

“So your accountant charges R2,000/month to organize receipts. AutoSlip at R250/month saves you R1,750/month = R21,000/year. Plus your accountant’s job becomes easier (clean Excel report), so they might reduce their fee.”

If they mentioned “spend hours organizing receipts”:

“You said you spend 3 hours/week on receipts. That’s 12 hours/month. If your time is worth R500/hour (conservative), that’s R6,000/month in lost productivity. AutoSlip at R250/month saves you R5,750/month = R69,000/year.”

If they mentioned “lost receipts”:

Script:

Action:

  1. Get their email address (for Excel reports and login)
  2. Confirm their WhatsApp number (the one they’re texting from)
  3. Activate trial in AutoSlip system
  4. Send confirmation WhatsApp:

Confirmation Message:

”🎉 Your AutoSlip trial is active!

Discovery question:

“Of course - what specifically would you like to think about? Is it the pricing, the technology, or something else?”

Listen and address their concern (see Objection Handling Guide)

Common objections:

  • “Need to check budget” → “Trial is free for 14 days - try it first, decide later”
  • “Need to talk to partner/team” → “Great - let me send you a summary email you can share with them”
  • “Too busy right now” → “That’s exactly why AutoSlip exists - to save you time. Trial takes 5 minutes to set up.”

Discovery question:

“No problem - can I ask what doesn’t work for you? Is it the price, the solution itself, or timing?”

Listen carefully:

  • Price objection → Offer Starter tier (R150/month)
  • Solution objection → Misunderstood product, re-explain
  • Timing objection → “When would be a better time? Can I follow up in [timeframe]?”

Always end gracefully:

“Thanks for your time today, [NAME]. If anything changes or you want to revisit this, my WhatsApp is [NUMBER]. Good luck with your receipt situation!”

Immediately After Demo (Within 5 Minutes):

  • Send calendar reminder for Day 5 check-in
  • Log demo outcome in CRM (trial activated? Objection? No show?)
  • Send follow-up email with:
    • Trial details (if activated)
    • Pricing sheet (if they’re “thinking about it”)
    • Your contact info

If Trial Activated:

  • Check next day to ensure they sent at least 1 receipt (if not, WhatsApp them: “Need help getting started?”)
  • Day 5 check-in: “How’s AutoSlip working for you?”
  • Day 10 reminder: “Trial ending in 4 days - ready to continue?”

If No Trial (Objection or “Think About It”):

  • Send follow-up email summarizing demo
  • Include case study or testimonial from their industry
  • Set reminder to follow up in 7 days
