Every document is backed up daily with encryption, and we run restore tests to verify backup integrity. “SharePoint is excellent for collaboration — shared documents, Teams, email. But it’s not an ERMS. It doesn’t have a NARSSA file plan, doesn’t do formal disposal with certificates, doesn’t track retention periods, and isn’t POPIA-compliant out of the box. Building those features in SharePoint would cost more than Polelo and take 6 months of custom development. Polelo gives you a purpose-built ERMS that can connect to SharePoint via API if needed.”
