Pule — SHEQ Practitioner — Demo Script

Demo Duration: 30-40 minutes Format: Teams screen share Platform URL: https://conformedge.isutech.co.za Presenter: Nhlanhla Mnyandu

  • Test Teams screen share — ensure it works smoothly
  • Open ConformEdge dashboard in browser (logged in)
  • Open landing page in a separate tab: https://conformedge.isutech.co.za
  • Have the 3 demo PDFs ready on desktop (DO NOT open them — upload live during demo):
    • OHS-Policy-Khumalo-Construction.pdf — classifies to ISO 45001 Clause 5.2 (OH&S Policy)
    • Risk-Assessment-Excavation-Work.pdf — classifies to ISO 45001 Clause 6.1.2 (Hazard ID & Risk Assessment)
    • Environmental-Management-Plan-Site.pdf — classifies to ISO 14001 Clause 6.1.2 (Environmental Aspects)
  • Demo docs location: conformedge/demo-documents/ on your local machine
  • Clear any test/dummy data that looks unprofessional
  • Test that AI document classification is working (do a quick test upload beforehand, then delete it)
  • Have pricing page ready to show
  • Close unrelated tabs and notifications

All 3 documents are from a fictional “Khumalo Construction (Pty) Ltd” — a Grade 6CE contractor doing a water pipeline project in Pietermaritzburg. They reference real SA legislation (OHS Act, Construction Regs, NEMA, COIDA), use proper document control numbering, and have realistic sign-off blocks. Any SHEQ practitioner will recognise these as authentic documents.

  • This is a conversation, not a pitch — Pule hasn’t seen the platform, so let him absorb it
  • Listen for his reactions — what excites him tells you what he values
  • He’s independent — frame everything as “how this helps YOU serve YOUR clients better”
  • Don’t overwhelm — show 4-5 features max, not all 40+ modules
  • Partner angle — plant the seed but don’t push it; let him see the opportunity himself

SECTION 1: Warm-up & Discovery (5 Minutes)

Section titled “SECTION 1: Warm-up & Discovery (5 Minutes)”

“Pule, good to connect on Teams. Before I show you the platform, I want to understand your world a bit better so I can show you the parts that are most relevant to you.”

Discovery Questions (Pick 3-4, Don’t Interrogate)

Section titled “Discovery Questions (Pick 3-4, Don’t Interrogate)”
  1. “How many clients are you working with at the moment?”

    • Why: Tells you if multi-tenant matters to him
    • If 1-2: Focus on how it makes HIS work faster
    • If 5+: Focus on managing multiple clients from one place
  2. “What industries are your clients in — construction, mining, manufacturing?”

    • Why: Tells you which standards/modules to emphasise
    • Construction: Focus on OHS Act, work permits, SHE file
    • Mining: Focus on MHSA, DMRE, incident management
    • General: Focus on ISO 45001, document management
  3. “When you do an audit or compile a compliance pack, what does that process look like for you today?”

    • Why: Reveals his pain — if it’s manual, ConformEdge solves it
    • Listen for: Spreadsheets, email, paper files, “it takes days”
  4. “What’s the most frustrating part of your day-to-day SHEQ work?”

    • Why: His answer is your demo anchor — show the feature that fixes it
  5. “Have you used any SHEQ software before, or are you mostly on Excel and paper?”

    • Why: Sets baseline — if he’s never used software, go slower; if he has, compare

[LISTEN — Take mental notes. His answers guide the next 20 minutes.]

SECTION 2: Landing Page Quick Tour (2 Minutes)

Section titled “SECTION 2: Landing Page Quick Tour (2 Minutes)”

“Let me start by showing you what ConformEdge looks like from the outside — this is what a prospective client would see.”

  • Hero section — “AI-Powered SHEQ & Compliance Management”
  • Standards bar — “15 compliance frameworks built in — ISO, MHSA, POPIA, ECSA, SACPCMP”
  • Feature highlights — quick scroll, don’t linger
  • Pricing section — “Starting at R2,299 — we’ll talk about pricing later”

“That’s the marketing side. Let me show you the actual platform.”

“This is the dashboard — the command centre. Everything is here at a glance.”

  • Compliance score widget — “Your client’s overall compliance health, live”
  • Upcoming tasks / deadlines — “Nothing falls through the cracks”
  • Recent activity — “Full audit trail — who did what, when”
  • Quick stats — documents, incidents, CAPAs

“Imagine having this for each of your clients — one login, switch between organisations.”

[Pause — let him absorb. Ask: “Does this kind of overview resonate with how you’d want to see your clients’ compliance?”]

SECTION 4: AI Document Classification — THE WOW MOMENT (7 Minutes)

Section titled “SECTION 4: AI Document Classification — THE WOW MOMENT (7 Minutes)”

“This is the feature that usually gets the biggest reaction. Let me show you with real documents.”

  1. Navigate to Documents
  2. Click Upload Document
  3. Upload Risk-Assessment-Excavation-Work.pdf
  4. Wait for AI classification — it should classify to ISO 45001 Clause 6.1.2 (Hazard identification and assessment of risks and opportunities)
  5. Show where it filed the document

“This is a HIRA for excavation work — you’d recognise this, it’s a standard risk assessment with hazard identification, risk matrix, PPE requirements, emergency procedures. I uploaded it and the AI read the entire document, identified it as a hazard identification and risk assessment, and filed it against ISO 45001 Clause 6.1.2. No manual tagging. No folder hunting.”

[Pause — let Pule absorb what just happened.]

Upload 2: OHS Policy (REINFORCES THE PATTERN)

Section titled “Upload 2: OHS Policy (REINFORCES THE PATTERN)”
  1. Upload OHS-Policy-Khumalo-Construction.pdf
  2. AI should classify to ISO 45001 Clause 5.2 (OH&S Policy)

“Now an OHS Policy — Section 16(2) appointments, worker consultation, incident management, subcontractor management. The AI reads all of that and files it against Clause 5.2 — the policy clause. Different document, different clause, same automatic filing.”

Upload 3: Environmental Management Plan (SHOWS MULTI-STANDARD)

Section titled “Upload 3: Environmental Management Plan (SHOWS MULTI-STANDARD)”
  1. Upload Environmental-Management-Plan-Site.pdf
  2. AI should classify to ISO 14001 Clause 6.1.2 (Environmental aspects)

“Now watch this — this is a Construction Environmental Management Plan. NEMA, National Water Act, waste management. The AI doesn’t just handle safety — it recognised this as an environmental document and filed it against ISO 14001, not 45001. It knows the difference.”

SECTION 4b: Environmental Management Module (5 Minutes)

Section titled “SECTION 4b: Environmental Management Module (5 Minutes)”

“I want to show you where that last document — the CEMP — actually lives in the system. It wasn’t just classified and filed. Navigate to Environment.”

Show the Permits tab:

“This is the Environmental Permits register. Your client’s Construction Environmental Management Programme is here — with the reference number, issuing authority, conditions, and expiry date. See this one highlighted in orange? It’s expiring in 28 days. The system sent your client’s environmental officer a notification automatically. You didn’t have to remember.”

Show the Aspects tab:

“ISO 14001 Clause 6.1.2 — the environmental aspects register. Activity: vegetation clearing during pipeline construction. Aspect: soil erosion and sedimentation. Impact: watercourse contamination. Significance: UNDER REVIEW. Legal requirement: NEMA Section 24.”

“Instead of a static spreadsheet sitting in a shared drive, this is a live register. Your client updates it, you can review it, the auditor reads it here.”

Show the Monitoring tab (point to the red exceedance row):

“This is the monitoring readings tab. Every monitoring point your client tracks — pH, turbidity, flow rates — logged here against a defined limit. See that row in red? That’s an exceedance. pH reading of 9.6 against a limit of 9.0. The system flagged it the moment it was entered, sent a notification, and now there’s a follow-up reading showing recovery back to 8.1.”

“Think about what this means for a client facing a DWS inspection: every exceedance is logged, timestamped, with the corrective action and recovery reading attached. That’s your evidence trail.”

[Let him absorb this. Then ask:]

“For your construction and general industry clients — do they track environmental monitoring manually? Or not at all?”

Key message:

“Most SHEQ practitioners I know stop at the document — upload it, file it, move on. ConformEdge connects the document to the obligation, the obligation to the monitoring point, and the monitoring point to the alert. It’s compliance management, not just document storage.”

“I just uploaded three completely different documents. A risk assessment, an OHS policy, and an environmental management plan. The AI classified each one to the correct standard AND the correct clause — automatically. No manual tagging. No misfiled records.”

“Think about how many documents you handle per client per month — SOPs, risk assessments, certificates, training records, method statements. Now imagine every single one getting classified and filed automatically.”

“Your client’s auditor comes in, asks for evidence against clause 6.1.2 — you pull it up in seconds. Not hours. Not days.”

[Watch his reaction here. If he leans in, you’ve got him.]

“These are from a fictional construction company I prepared for this demo — but the structure is exactly what you’d see in the real world. The AI works with any SHEQ document — your clients’ actual documents, not just templates.”

SECTION 5: Incident Management (4 Minutes)

Section titled “SECTION 5: Incident Management (4 Minutes)”

“Let me show you incident management — this is big for construction and mining.”

  1. Incident list — different types (near miss, first aid, lost time, fatality)
  2. Create an incident — show the form, evidence upload, witness fields
  3. Investigation workflow — fishbone analysis, contributing factors
  4. COIDA integration — “W.Cl.2 form exports directly from the system”
  5. LTIFR dashboard — “Your client’s lost time injury frequency rate, calculated automatically”

“If your clients are in construction or mining, they need to report incidents to the DoL or DMRE. This generates the forms for them — MHSA Section 11(5), COIDA W.Cl.2 — straight from the data.”

[Ask: “How do your clients handle incident reporting today?”]

“Now the audit module — this is where everything comes together.”

  1. Create an assessment — select standard(s), e.g., ISO 45001
  2. Multi-standard audit — “You can audit against multiple standards at once — ISO 45001 and MHSA in the same session”
  3. Gap analysis — show the visual readiness scoring
  4. Findings → CAPA — “A finding triggers a corrective action automatically”
  5. Audit pack generation — “One click, branded PDF, ready for submission”

“Your client has an audit next week. Instead of spending 3 days compiling evidence, you click here, generate the pack — cover page, executive summary, all evidence attached — and send it.”

[This speaks directly to his daily work. Let him react.]

“So that’s the platform. Now let me talk about what this could mean for your practice.”

“As an independent SHEQ practitioner, you’re already doing this work — compliance management, audit prep, incident investigation. ConformEdge just gives you a professional platform to do it faster and at scale.”

Present the Options (Don’t Push One — Let Him Choose):

Section titled “Present the Options (Don’t Push One — Let Him Choose):”

Option A — Use It for Your Clients:

“You subscribe, onboard your clients, and use this as your daily tool. It makes you faster, more professional, and your clients get better visibility.”

Option B — Refer Companies to Us:

“You know companies that need this. You refer them, they sign up, you earn 10% of their first year’s subscription. It’s passive income on top of your consulting fees.”

Option C — Build Your Practice on It:

“This is the big one. You become a consulting partner — you use ConformEdge as the backbone of your practice. You onboard clients, charge your consulting fee, and the platform does the heavy lifting. You scale without hiring.”

“Most independent SHEQ practitioners I talk to end up doing a mix — they use it for their main clients and refer the rest.”

[Ask: “Which of those resonates most with you?” — His answer classifies him.]

  • Answer honestly — if something isn’t built yet, say so
  • If he asks about pricing, walk through the tiers
  • If he asks about a specific feature, show it live

If He’s Interested as a User:

“I can set you up with a trial so you can explore it with a real client’s data. Want me to get that going?”

If He’s Interested as a Partner:

“I’ll send you the partner information — it’s straightforward to get started. We can also set up a call to go deeper on the consulting partner model.”

If He Needs Time:

“No pressure at all. I’ll send you a summary of what we covered and the pricing. Take your time, and reach out when you’re ready.”

“Thanks for your time, Pule. I’m keen to work with you — whether that’s you using the platform, referring people, or building something together.”

  • Send follow-up email within 2 hours (summary + pricing + next steps)
  • Update prospect status in DocsHub
  • Classify relationship type based on his response (user / referral / consulting / hybrid)
  • If partner interest: send partner registration link
  • If user interest: set up trial account
  • Schedule follow-up call if needed (within 1 week)

ObjectionResponse
”It’s too expensive for a small practice""Essentials is R2,299/mo — less than R77/day. If it saves you one day of audit prep per month, it’s already paid for itself."
"My clients use spreadsheets and they’re fine""They might be fine until an audit finds gaps, or a certificate expires and they lose a tender. This prevents that."
"I need to think about it""Absolutely. I’ll send you everything we covered. No pressure — the platform will be here when you’re ready."
"Can I try it first?""Yes — we can set up a trial for you to explore with real data."
"I don’t have time to learn new software""It’s designed for SHEQ people, not IT people. Most users are productive within a day. And the AI does the filing for you."
"What about data security?""Your data is encrypted, hosted on secure South African infrastructure, and POPIA compliant. Each client’s data is completely isolated."
"My clients don’t need environmental management""Every construction company in SA is subject to NEMA, NWA, and the OHS Act. Any site near a watercourse needs permits. Any client doing earthworks needs a CEMP. This isn’t optional — it’s statutory.”
